A scrap dealer in southern Vietnam has so far donated 8.4 liters of her blood in two dozens times, out of a simple belief that it helps save people’s life.
Tran Thi Hoa, 40, hailing in Binh Phuoc Province, gave away 350ml of blood to people she would not know, in each of the 24 times she came for blood donation. |
She has donated blood for 24 times. “I am poor so I have nothing but my blood to help the society,” said Hoa whose husband, a mason, has also donated blood for 15 times. |

Whenever they have time to spare, Hoa and her husband will turn tree stumps into ornaments. Even though the products are not professionally created, they are an important source of income for the couple. |
