Vietnamese named research academic in Ukraine
(VOV) - The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine recently named Vietnamese Dr Tran Duc Chinh, currently a lecturer at the HCM City University of Transport, the title of research academic.
The academy awards the honour only to those who have made significant contributions to research and have published at least 20 scientific researches in prestigious magazines and served on at least two prominent editorial councils.
Nguyen Van Thu, rector of the HCM City University of Transport said Dr Chinh has made great contributions to the university by training students and instilling in them a passion for scientific research.
Mr Chinh was born in 1949 and went to study in Russia in 1966. In 2000, he received a post-doctoral degree at the Kiev National University of Construction & Architecture in Ukraine. In 2004, he successfully completed his PhD scientific thesis.
