Vietnamese lecturers join Russia’s high-tech summer training program

VOV.VN - Four Vietnamese lecturers will take part in the "Summer University" program (Obninsk Tech: train-the-trainers) in Russia from June 23 to July 5, aiming to advance their expertise in high technology.

The “Obninsk Tech: train-the-trainers” program is an initiative of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Participants will attend training sessions at partner universities in Russia, with coordination support from the Russia-Vietnam cooperation development fund “Tradition and Friendship” in collaboration with Vietnamese institutions.

The program is designed to familiarize foreign university lecturers with the technological and educational capabilities of Russian universities and partner companies affiliated with the Obninsk Tech International Scientific and Educational Center for Nuclear and Related Technologies. It aims to enhance participants' knowledge in developing advanced high-tech products and promote the exchange of expertise among institutions from different countries.

Key Russian institutions co-organizing the program include Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI,” the Obninsk branch of the National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI,” the Rosatom Technical Academy, and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. The program focuses on knowledge-sharing and capacity-building in modern technology and engineering education, with two main areas of specialization: electronics and automation, and nuclear technology.

The Vietnamese lecturers will have a chance to deepen their knowledge in electronics, electrical engineering, and nuclear technology, explore Russia’s advanced developments and innovations in these fields, adopt modern teaching methods, exchange experience with Russian counterparts, and build new professional networks.

Beyond the academic content, the program also includes cultural activities such as visits to the world’s first nuclear power plant museum in Obninsk, the Ethnomir cultural park and museum, the Atom Museum, the All-Russian Exhibition Center (VDNKh), a city tour of Moscow by bus, a river cruise on the Neva River in Saint Petersburg, and a tour of the Hermitage Museum.

The “train-the-trainers” program is expected to be held annually and to significantly contribute to the quality of technical training in Vietnam, while further stepping up Vietnam-Russia cooperation in education and science.
