Vietnamese firms earn ASEAN Tourism Awards 2025
VOV.VN - Several Vietnamese enterprises received multiple ASEAN Tourism Awards 2025 on January 20 during a ceremony held in Malaysia as part of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2025, according to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT).
Vietnam had 17 units named in four categories, including the ASEAN Spa Service Awards, the ASEAN Community Tourism Award - CBT ASEAN, the ASEAN Homestay Award, and the ASEAN Public Toilet Award.
Several popular destinations were listed in these categories, including Yoko Onsen Spa, Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh Hot Spring Resort, and An Spa - Da Nang city; Akoya Spa, Vinpearl Resort & Golf Nam Hoi An, Six Senses Con Dao Spa & Wellness Village, and Six Senses Con Dao Resort; along with KARA SPA and Caravelle Hotel.
The VNAT said the awards have affirmed the determination of local firms to improve the service quality of Vietnamese tourism with a specific focus on criteria such as unique tourism products, professional services, simplified procedures, competitive prices, clean environment, as well as safe, civilized, and friendly destinations.
The awards also asserted the impressive recovery of Vietnamese tourism over the past year with 17.6 million international visitors in 2024, up 40% compared to 2023, earning a total tourism revenue of VND840 trillion in the process.
The ASEAN Tourism Awards is an annual event, aiming to honour localities and units with high-quality tourism products and services in order to contribute to sustainable development of tourist destinations in the region.
It is also viewed as an opportunity for travel operators to effectively introduce their activities and contribute to promoting the national tourism brand to the world.
