Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia issues security advisory amid ongoing protests
VOV.VN - The Embassy of Vietnam in Indonesia on August 31 issued a security advisory to Vietnamese citizens living, studying, working, or planning to travel to the country, as large-scale protests have erupted in Jakarta and several other cities.

According to the announcement, the Embassy urged Vietnamese nationals to avoid protest sites and large gatherings, remain highly vigilant, and closely monitor developments through local media, official updates, and Embassy notices.
For emergency support or inquiries regarding citizen protection, the Embassy provided its hotline +62 811161025 (via WhatsApp, Zalo). Updates are also available on the Embassy’s official website: vnembassy-jakarta.mofa.gov.vn. Direct contact address: 25 Teuku Umar, Gondangdia, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
The advisory comes as Indonesia is facing widespread demonstrations sparked by public anger over lawmakers’ privileges and the recent death of a young ride-share driver during a protest crackdown, which have escalated tensions and raised security risks across multiple cities.
