Vietnamese community based-tourism honoured at ASEAN tourism forum

Eight community-based tourism models were honoured at the recent ASEAN tourism forum (ATF) in Singapore.

ASEAN community-based tourism awards were presented to the Pom Coong village in Mai Chau town, Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province; Thanh Toan Cau Ngoi in Thanh Thuy commune, Huong Thuy town, Thua Thien – Hue province; and Triem Tay in Dien Phuong commune, Dien Ban district, Quang Nam province.

Homestay ASEAN awards were presented to Ta Van Giay Homestay in Ta Van hamlet, Sa Pa town, Lao Cai province; Homestay Mai Hich in Mai Hich commune, Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province; Homestay Hoa Ninh in Ninh Hoa commune, Long Ho district, Vinh Long province, along with Homestay Dao in Nam Dam hamlet, Quan Ba district, Ha Giang province; and Homestay Thanh Nam in Cam Chau ward, Hoi An city, Quang Nam province.

Vietnam will host the 2019 ATF, the 39th edition of this event since its inauguration in Malaysia.
