Vietnamese, Cambodian, Lao students enhance solidarity, friendship

A cultural exchange programme was held in the south-eastern province of Binh Phuoc on June 23 to strengthen solidarity and friendship between Vietnamese, Cambodian and Lao students.

More than 60 students participated in the event, including 24 from Laos and seven from Cambodia, who are studying at universities in southern Ho Chi Minh City.

The programme created a good chance for students to learn about the traditional culture of each country as well as the trilateral sound relations, solidarity and friendship.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Hang called on the youngsters to preserve and promote the long-standing friendship between Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

She said the three countries have launched a number of programmes to increase youth exchanges between cities and provinces, particularly those along the shared border.

At the programme, the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association in HCM City presented 15 gift packages to disadvantaged students in Binh Phuoc.
