Young Lao people will continue fostering a closer connection with their Vietnamese peers via joint programmes, thereby contributing to tightening the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation that exists between Laos and Vietnam, he added.

For his part, Bui Quang Huy, first secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, said over recent decades the reform process in each country has brought about great socio-economic development achievements, elevating the two countries’ role and position globally, that has encouraged the young generation of each country to proactively integrate into the world.
