Vietnamese and French audit bodies step up co-operation
VOV.VN - Ngo Van Tuan, auditor general of the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV), met with Pierre Moscovici, first president of the Cour des Comptes and French Supreme Audit Institution, on September 12 in Paris to discuss a host of measures to ramp up their co0operation in the audit.
This comes after Tuan held a working session with Gilles Pierre Levy, honorary president of the Cour des Comptes, on September 11, during which he highly valued its auditing expertise and role in leading Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) to operate more effectively.
He emphasized that Vietnam hopes to boost ties both bilaterally and multilaterally, especially in areas where the French agency boasts strengths such as anti-corruption, money laundering, public policy assessment, and auditing international organisations.
He therefore invited Levy to visit to the SAV in the near future, with the latter suggesting that the two sides continue discussions aimed at bolster co-operation.
The two therefore consented to ramp up linkages on auditing all areas of mutual interest and to arrange cross-assessments between various agencies within the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) framework.
In line with this, Levy invited the SAV to join the association of the SAIs using the French language (AISCCUFF).
The visit takes place amid both nations celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership.
