Vietnam, UK foster occupational education and training partnerships
VOV.VN - Vietnam is a potential destination for cooperation opportunities from the UK, said Chargé d’Affaires at the UK embassy Steph Lysaght at a January 17 seminar on Vietnam-UK cooperation in occupational skills education and training.
Mr Lysaght said the seminar offered a chance for the UK’s leading occupational skills education and training providers to expand cooperation with government organizations, businesses, schools, colleges, and universities in Hanoi.
Pham Vu Quoc Binh, director of the Vietnam Vocational Training Accreditation Agency (VVTAA), said the rapidly developing fourth Industrial Revolution presents a number of challenges to Vietnam’s economy. To train high quality human resources, Vietnam must develop an open and modern system of education and training in accordance with the demands of businesses, employment, and the social security market.
At the event, representatives from universities, colleges, and organizations introduced their training programs and courses certified with widely recognized accreditation. Meanwhile, businesses presented examples of UK technologies, education and training equipment to Vietnamese partners in the fields of English, IT, and soft skills and in the automotive, garment, construction, and hospitality industries.
