Vietnam to select bright minds for int’l, regional Olympiads
The national team selection exam for the 2025 international and regional Olympiads will run from March 25-27, with 187 candidates vying for spots in the national teams.

At the opening ceremony on March 24, the Ministry of Education and Training unveiled the exam proctoring council, exam schedule and venues, and strict regulations to guide the process.
Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Education Quality Management Agency under the Ministry of Education and Training, stressed that the ministry is committed to investment in education. By investing in modern teaching methods and expanding global partnerships, Vietnam is paving the way for a new generation of innovators who can meet the country’s evolving needs.
He urged the exam proctoring council to uphold a high sense of responsibility, ensuring a serious, fair, and transparent selection process.
Last year, Vietnam sent seven teams to international and regional Olympiads. All 38 participating students brought home an impressive haul of awards, including 12 gold, 15 silver, and 10 bronze medals, plus one certificate of merit. This achievement is not only a source of pride for the education sector but also a flex of brainpower and grit of Vietnamese youth, driven by their aspiration for global excellence.
