Vietnam, Thailand implement agreement on labour import-export

The Ministry of Labour, Invalid and Social Affairs has met with the Thai foreign and labour ministries to discuss Vietnamese migrant workers in Thailand.

Nhan dan newspaper reported that the meeting aimed to review the implementation of a memorandum of understanding on labour cooperation and an agreement on labour recruitment signed between Vietnam and Thailand in 2015.

The sides involved agreed with the procedure for sending Vietnamese workers to Thailand.

The Vietnamese and Thai labour ministries approved four state agencies and five enterprises to participate in the process.

According to the pacts signed last year, Thailand has received Vietnamese migrant workers in construction and fishing sectors.
