Vietnam responds to World Water Day 2019

VOV.VN - A meeting was held in Hanoi on March 22 in response to World Water Day 2019 with the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Tran Hong Ha in attendance.

Themed “Water for all - Leaving no one behind”, this year’s campaign attracts thousands of people.
Speaking at the Hanoi meeting, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Tran Hong Ha calls for the effective use of water resources  while minimizing activities that leads to water and environmental pollution. He expects everyone to have access to clean and safe water.
Minister Hong Ha, representatives of local authorities, embassy of Hungary in Hanoi, and Miss Vietnam 2010 and ambassador of World Water Day, Dang Thi Ngoc Han launch Vietnam International Water Week.
Representatives from 26 provinces pledge to carry out activities in response to World Water Day 2019.
Madu Ragunath from the World Bank promises her organization's support  for Vietnam in clean water programmes.
