Vietnam launches most modern platform supply vessel

VOV.VN - Ha Long Shipbuilding Company launched the most modern platform supply vessel (PSV) 3300 in QuangNinh on May 10.

This is the first PSV ever built in Vietnam.

PSV330 coded YN 552044 is a ship specially designed to supply offshore oil and gas platforms. With 80x16.2x7.5m measurement, it has 1,500 ton deadweight and an average speed of 13.5 nautical miles. In normal conditions, the ship can operate at sea for 28 consecutive days.

The ship was built, designed and supervised by Dutch Damen group. After a trial run, it is expected to be handed over to client in September this year.

The successful launching of PSV330 has contributed to promoting the domestic shipbuilding’s prestige in the international map.
