Vietnam launches its response to World Oceans Day

VOV.VN - A ceremony to launch Seas and Islands Week in response to World Oceans Day (June 8) was held in the southern coastal province of Bac Lieu on June 1 with Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung in attendance.

A large number of delegates are present at the ceremony at Hung Vuong square in Bac Lieu city.
Delegates at the event include Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha, along with local leaders.
Upon addressing the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung urges people to raise their awareness of environmental protection in response to World Oceans Day.
Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha also takes part in the event.
Phu Yen province will host Seas and Islands Week and Environmental Action Month in response to World Oceans Day 2020.
Minister Hong Ha gives sincere thanks to the organisations for their great contributions to launching the month of action for the environment.
Deputy PM Dung delivers national flags and fishing nets created from environmentally-friendly materials to fishermen from Bac Lieu province.
Deputy PM Dung, Minister Hong Ha, and local authorities from Bac Lieu province paid a visit to a photograph exhibition on climate change after the ceremony.
