Vietnam, Laos share experience in religious affairs
VOV.VN - Vietnam and Laos shared experience in religious affairs at a conference on October in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue as part of activities marking the 55th anniversary of their diplomatic ties.
In his remarks, Chairman of the Vietnamese Government’s Committee for Religious Affairs Vu Chien Thang highlighted the fruitful bilateral cooperation in a multitude of fields, including religious affairs, which he said, has contributed to maintaining political stability and spurring social, economic and cultural development in each country.
He affirmed the Vietnamese Government’s Committee for Religious Affairs' commitment to properly implement signed agreements to improve the efficiency of bilateral cooperation in this field.
Under the framework of the bilateral cooperation agreement on religious affairs for 2014-2020, both nations have dispatched nine high-level delegations to each other’s nation and co-host conferences for nearly 100 officials to exchange religious experience.
At the conference, the two sides also shared experience in State management of religious activities.
The Vietnamese committee also sent lecturers to share issues relating religious affairs at training classes for Lao officials at the invitation of the Lao Front for National Construction.
