VOV.VN -Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Doan Mau Diep met on June 2 with Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Meirav Elon Shahar in Hanoi to discuss cooperation, especially in labor.
Mr Diep said his Ministry will attend the 3rd round of negotiation of the Vietnam-Israel Free Trade Agreement in Israel this month and is expected to discuss labor cooperation between the two countries.
The Ministry’s representatives will also attend the 2nd meeting of the Vietnam-Israel Joint Committee to negotiate their labor agreement.
"The Vietnam-Israel Joint Committee will meet next month to discuss the labor cooperation. The agreement negotiations between Vietnam and Israel are expected to be launched at this meeting. If not, the two sides may work together over the agreement negotiations. Vietnam wants to sign the agreement next year when Vietnam and Israel celebrate the 25th anniversary of their diplomatic ties," he said.
Ambassador Meirav Elon Shahar said Israel has agreed in principle on negotiations on sending Vietnamese workers to work in agriculture and other fields.
