Vietnam imports three million doses of inactivated Tembusu virus vaccine

VOV.VN - A batch of 3,000 bottles of inactivated Tembusu virus vaccine, XINSHUTA, equivalent to three million doses, were imported to the nation on April 2 by Invet Group.

The vaccine was produced by Sinder Group of China and was duly granted a certificate of circulation by the Department of Animal Health under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

The animal health department also assigned the National Center for Veterinary Drugs and Bio-Products Control No.1 to test the quality of the vaccines before circulating them on the Vietnamese market.

The typical clinic symptoms of the infected ducks suffering from the Tembusu virus include phenomena on loss of moving ataxia, paralysis, a sudden reduction when laying eggs, severely hemorrhagic ovary, as well as a swollen spleen and liver.

Currently, Vietnam's demand for the Xinshutan vaccine this year stands at about 200 million doses.
