Vietnam hands over two American fugitives to US police

VOV.VN - The Criminal Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security on July 10 handed over to the United States’ police two American fugitives who had been wanted for killing two people in a shooting.

The individuals - Phan Polie, 27, and Nguyen Vu Jaidan, 26, - were wanted by the Harris County District Courts and INTERPOL's General Secretariat. They had been sentenced to death for the crime.

The arrests come after Vietnamese police were informed about the two criminals who had fled abroad.

After a period of investigation and surveillance, the police tracked down and arrested Phan Polie hiding in Ho Chi Minh City and Nguyen Vu Jaidan fleeing to Buon Ma Thuot City in the Central Highland province of Dak Lak.
