Vietnam Coast Guard vessel begins working trip to India
VOV.VN - Vessel CSB 8005 of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command, led by Colonel Nguyen Minh Khanh, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command, set off for a working visit to India on December 3.
Speaking at the send-off ceremony, Major General Ngo Binh Minh, Commander of the Coast Guard Region 3, stated that CSB 8005’s working trip to India plays a crucial role in strengthening and developing the already strong relationship between Vietnam and India in general, and the maritime law enforcement agencies of the two countries in particular.
During joint training with the Indian Coast Guard, he said the focus will be on ensuring efficiency, safety, and the ability to respond to any arising issues.
According to the Coast Guard Region 3 Command, the CSB 8005 will conduct joint exercises with the Indian Coast Guard on search and rescue operations, firefighting, and oil spill response at sea.
Before the joint exercises, the Vietnamese Coast Guard delegation will visit and pay courtesy calls to local government officials and leaders of the Western region of the Indian Coast Guard, participate in sports exchanges at Western region 4 of the Indian Coast Guard, and engage in cultural exchange activities.
