VOV.VN - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced that the inaugural World Safety and Operations Conference (WSOC) is scheduled to take place in Hanoi from September 19 to 21.
The annual global event themed “Leadership in Action: Driving Safer and More Efficient Operations” will be hosted by national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.
The function, the first of its kind, will bring together the previous Cabin Ops Safety Conference, the IATA Safety Conference, and the Emergency Response Planning & Aircraft Recovery Forums.

The conference is anticipated to attract the participation of more than 800 guests who are leaders of various airlines and international organisations operating in the field of aviation al around the world.
As the host airline, he said Vietnam Airlines is demonstrating a strong commitment to meet the common goal of sharing and improving knowledge and understanding regarding aviation safety.
According to Le Hong Ha, president & CEO of Vietnam Airlines, safety is the highest priority of the sector and represents the cornerstone of all Vietnam Airlines’ operations and practices.
“We are excited to be the host airline for this important inaugural conference, bringing together cutting-edge leaders, regulators and a larger global community to address key topics relating to safety and infrastructure to ensure stronger safety operations in the wider industry,” said Ha.
