Vice NA Chairman greets former Vietnamese teachers in Thailand

The Vietnamese Party and State appreciates the contributions to the country made by overseas Vietnamese in Thailand, said Vice National Assembly (NA) Chairman Uong Chu Luu.

The official made the statement on October 10 at a meeting with 84 retired OV teachers in Thailand, who are visiting Vietnam.

Luu said the teachers have made great efforts to preserve Vietnamese language and culture in Thailand, adding that they have boosted ties between the two nations.

The NA Vice Chairman also expressed his hope that they would continue to maintaining Vietnamese cultural identity and building a strong Vietnamese community in Thailand.

He highlighted the growing cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand in all fields.

Representatives of the delegation expressed their pleasure at the development of the nation after 30 years of Doi Moi (reformation), saying that this creates an impetus for them to continue contributing to the host nation and their home country.
