Vallet scholarships granted to 230 students in Thua Thien – Hue province

The scientific and educational organisation "Meeting Vietnam" on September 2 presented 230 Vallet scholarships worth VND4 billion (US$170,484) in total to outstanding students in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.

Established in 2001, the organisation’s Vallet Scholarship Fund has been sponsored by Professor Odon Vallet from France’s Sorbonne University. Over the past two decades, it has granted more than VND350 billion worth of scholarships to Vietnamese students.

Over the past two decades, the organisation presented more than 4,500 Vallet scholarships to students in Thua Thien – Hue province alone.

This year, 2,100 Vallet scholarships, whose total value exceeds VND36 billion, are set to be presented to Vietnamese pupils and students across the nation.
