US Embassy to organize blood donation event ahead of Tet

The US Embassy in Hanoi will hold the eighth Blood Drive themed “Tet Gift 2019” on January 18 at the Rose Garden building, 170 Ngoc Khanh Street, Hanoi.

The annual event is organized before the traditional Tet holiday (Lunar New Year). The National Institute of Hematology Blood Transfusion (Vietnamese National Blood Bank) runs short of blood for patients in need.

Donated blood will be used to save lives of trauma victims, surgical patients, and patients with life-threatening blood diseases. This will be a meaningful Tet gift for patients.

Only donors who are healthy, free of diseases and not having a significant medical history are encouraged to donate blood. To join the event, visit http://goo.gl/C8QVMB by 12 p.m. on January 17, 2019.
