US Communist Party supports Vietnam’s AO/dioxin victims

VOV.VN - Nguyen Van Rinh, President of the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) has called on the US Communist Party to support the victims and rally greater American support for their fight  against the US chemical companies.

At a meeting on with the VAVA on April 5, Chairman of the Communist Party USA, John Bachtell, promised to help Vietnam’s victims address their difficulties and involve more Americans in the fight for justice.

Both leaders expressed their belief that the visit will strengthen links between the two parties and countries.

Chairman Bachtell presented the signatures of US citizens who support the lawsuit of Agent Orange victims to VAVA.

VAVA Chairman Nguyen Van Rinh greatly valued the US party’s help that is not only directed toward AO/dioxin victims, but also the protection of Vietnam’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Both sides hoped the Communist Party USA’s working visit to Vietnam this time would contribute to furthering ties with the Communist Party of Vietnam as well as the relationship between the two nations.
