Two Vietnamese, one Chinese nicked for drug transport
Authorities of the northern border province of Quang Ninh seized two Vietnamese and one Chinese in three cross-border drug trafficking cases in Dan Tien pier, Mong Cai city on March 19 and 20.
At 11 p.m. on March 20, local authorities arrested 39-year-old Dinh Van Xuan, a resident in Song Khoai commune, Quang Yen town. He was trying to carry a kilogramme of methamphetamine to Dongxing, Guangxi in China. He said he was paid US$448.50 to transport the drugs.
Another drug trafficking case was detected by the team at 9 p.m. on March 19. They apprehended Huang Xian Hua, born in 1980 in Guangxi province after finding he held 22 grammes of drugs in a coach. The Chinese man admitted that he bought the drugs for personal use.
The Vietnamese authorities also seized Huang Xian Hua’s electronic scale, passport, mobile phone and 50 plastic bags.
