Two Russian tourists rescued after getting lost on mountain hike in Nha Trang
VOV.VN - Two Russian tourists who got lost while hiking Co Tien Mountain in Nha Trang ward have safely been rescued by rescue workers of Khanh Hoa province.

The hikers, Kurochkin Sergei, 38, and Tikhov Aleksei, 31, began their trek around 2:30 p.m. on September 3. However, they lost their way during the hike, became exhausted, and were unable to find their way down.
They then called for help through the owner of the apartment they were staying in Nha Trang ward.
Upon receiving the emergency call via hotline 114, the fire and rescue police immediately dispatched a six-member team equipped with rescue gear. The team coordinated with local authorities, and the apartment owner to launch the search and rescue operation.
By around 2:00 a.m. on September 4, the rescue team located the two tourists on the mountainside. After conducting an initial health check, both were escorted safely down the mountain. They were reported to be fatigued but in stable condition and without serious injuries.
Co Tien Mountain is a well-known natural attraction in Nha Trang, drawing many domestic and international tourists with its unspoiled scenery and fresh air. However, the mountain features steep, rugged terrain and poorly marked trails, posing risks to inexperienced hikers or those without proper guidance.
Authorities have advised that tourists engaging in outdoor and mountain activities must be well-prepared in terms of physical fitness, navigation tools, and emergency communication, particularly in remote and challenging areas like Co Tien Mountain.
