Two returnees from Netherlands infected with SARS-CoV-2
VOV.VN - Two Vietnamese returnees from the Netherlands have been diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the country’s total number of coronavirus cases to 1,215, the Ministry of Health reported on November 9.
The two men, 31 and 32 years old respectively, were quarantined in Can Tho City, southern Vietnam, after landing at Can Tho International Airport on November 7.
They were both tested for COVID-19 with the results coming back positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
They are now being quarantined at Can Tho Lung and Tuberculosis Hospital for medical observation and treatment.
As of 18.00hrs on November 9, Vietnam has recorded a total of 1,215 coronavirus cases, including 1,087 recoveries and 35 deaths.
The remaining 93 patients are in stable health condition, with 28 cases having tested negative for the virus.
Vietnam has gone through 68 consecutive days without detecting any locally transmitted coronavirus cases.
