Two local women arrested for arranging illegal entry from China

VOV.VN - Two Vietnamese women have been detained for organising illegal border crossings into the country, according officials of Chi Ma border gate in Lang Son province, bordering China.

The two suspects were caught red handed illegally bringing nine Chinese nationals into Vietnam at around 14:00 on July 26.

The incident took place at border area No.1219 in Coc Nhan village of Yen Khoai commune, Loc Binh district, Lang Son province.

The pair were identified as Hoang Thi Thom, 40, and Dinh Thi Tu, 37, both of whom reside in Yen Khoai commune.

Nine Chinese nationals are put into quarantine following illegal entry

Following their arrest, police started legal procedures against the two women. They also placed them under quarantine to prevent the possible spread of the novel coronavirus.

Relevant agencies in Vietnam recently found an increasing number of Chinese nationals had entered the territory, including Da Nang City where the coronavirus freshly recurred on July 25.
