VOV.VN - The National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF) on November 16 announced that a low-pressure system will form over the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago in the next few days and is likely to strengthen into a tropical depression.

According to the centre the low-pressure system currently exists with axes at 5- 8 degrees North in the southern area of the East Sea.

The strengthening low-pressure system will cause thunderstorms, strong winds and rough sea in the waters from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau provinces including the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago area.

Forecasters said over the next few days, a low-pressure zone will take shape in Truong Sa archipelago area and is likely to develop into a tropical depression.
