Traffic accident on Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet Expressway kills two and injures 10
VOV.VN - Two people were killed and 10 others injured in a road accident involving two passenger coaches on the Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet Expressway at midnight on September 18, as reported by local media.
The fatal incident occurred at 23:55 p.m. when a passenger coach with the license plate 50F-043551 was carrying 25 people and travelling south on the expressway.
Upon reaching Km191 + 400 in Binh Tan commune of Bac Binh district in the southcentral province of Binh Thuan, the vehicle then crashed into the rear of a broken-down passenger coach with the license plate 78F-000.40 which was parked facing the same direction.
The impact of the collision caused severe damage to both vehicles, resulting in the deaths of two people at the scene.
In addition, a further 10 injured individuals were transported to Binh Thuan General Hospital for treatment.Local authorities are continuing to examine the scene in order to establish the exact cause of the accident.
