Three Vietnamese rescued after fishing boat capsizes off Korean island
VOV.VN - Three local sailors were rescued after their fishing boat capsized off Jeju Island, Republic of Korea (RoK), on February 12, the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK reported.

According to Seogwipo city police, the fishing boat 2066 Chesongho capsized at 8:30 p.m. on February 12 while operating about 8 km off Seogwipo Port. The vessel had 10 crew members on board, including both Korean and foreign nationals, one Indonesian and three Vietnamese.
Rescue teams swiftly arrived at the scene and have so far saved five crew members, including the four foreign sailors and the captain. The three Vietnamese crew members are in stable condition.
Upon receiving the report, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea promptly coordinated with local competent agencies to verify details and confirm the identities of the Vietnamese sailors. The embassy also requested Seogwipo police to arrange medical check-ups for the rescued crew members and provide regular updates.
Additionally, a 500-ton coast guard patrol vessel has been deployed to the area, with search and rescue efforts ongoing to locate the missing victims.
