Three Vietnamese nationals deported from US
VOV.VN - The Lam Dong provincial police said on December 24 that it had coordinated with relevant agencies to establish a task force to receive Vietnamese nationals deported from the US.
On December 19, the task force received three Vietnamese citizens who had resided in Lam Dong province, Vietnam’s Central Highlands prior to leaving the country.
According to professional exchanges between law enforcement agencies, all three deportees had prior criminal records in the host country.
After serving penalties imposed under foreign law, they were deported and handed over to their localities. The reception process was conducted in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring foreign affairs requirements as well as the lawful rights and interests of the citizens, in line with humanitarian principles.
According to the Lam Dong provincial police, the activity helps improve the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and partner countries, while supporting state management of immigration and maintaining public order and security.
Following their return, the local police will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to verify personal information, and support their reintegration into the community.
