Three suspects on special wanted list in Dak Lak terrorist attacks arrested

VOV.VN - The police of Dak Lak, a province in the Central Highlands, have arrested three suspects on a special wanted list in the recent terrorist attacks on the two commune administration headquarters in the locality.

When the three suspects were arrested, they were hiding in a deserted farm in Ea Sup border district of Dak Lak province, a representative of the Dak Lak police confirmed on July 15 evening.

The arrested were Y Ju Nie (55), Nay Yen (53) and Nay Tam (49). They were among the six who were said to directly engage in the terrorist attacks on the headquarters of Ea Tieu commune and Ea Ktur commune of Cu Kuin district on June 11.

Four police officers, two commune administration officials and three local resident were killed, while two police officers were injured in the two attacks.

After the attacks, the six suspects fled away and the police later issues a special warrant for their arrest charged with carrying out terrorist attacks aimed at opposing the people’s administration.

The police are now hunting for the three remaining suspects on the special wanted list.

Up to now, the police have arrested and prosecuted 90 people on various charges, and they are still expanding the investigation and handling those involved.
