Three dead, one injured in North Vietnam landslide
VOV.VN - Three construction workers have been killed and one left severely injured after a landslide triggered by torrential rains hit Ha Long city of the northern province of Quang Ninh.
The incident occurred at 4 a.m. on August 12 while the workers were sleeping in a temporary tent.
Receiving news of the incident, rescue workers were immediately dispatched to the scene in order to conduct a search and find the missing workers.
After several hours, three bodies of the workers buried in debris were recovered. In addition, the remaining person suffering from severe injuries was subsequently transferred to Bai Chay General Hospital to receive intensive treatment.
Heavy rain has been pouring down in northern and central localities for the past few days after a prolonged heat wave struck the regions. Mountainous localities have been warned about possible flashfloods and landslides that could threaten local lives.
