Thi Ha advocates for blood donations

VOV.VN - One of this year’s Miss Vietnam top five finalists – Dao Thi Ha – has joined with other youth volunteers in Hanoi to draw attention to a national cause— that blood donations save lives.

Miss Ha (centre) takes part on September 5 in an organizational meeting for a blood drive set for September 10 at the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion.

She says she considers herself more of a volunteer than a donor, having grown up in a home that promoted social responsibility and an awareness of the importance of giving back to society.

Always with a beautiful radiant smile, Miss Ha now advocates about the benefits of donating and volunteering for blood drives.

With an innocent face and never a frown, she is a phenomenal spokesperson, whom children are drawn too like a magnet.

Everyone wants to snap a photo with the Miss Vietnam top five finalist.

On this occasion, Miss Ha visits and presents gifts to patients being treated at the Institute.

As someone who has participated in many volunteer activities as a student at the National Academy of Public Administration, socializing with the patients just comes naturally to her.

She is also exceptional at recruiting other youth volunteers to give back by volunteering and donating blood.  This year’s drive at the National Institute will hopefully collect 2,000 units of blood.
