Thanh Hoa province hosts Hoang Sa, Truong Sa exhibition

More than 200 objects and documents affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes are being displayed in Trieu Son district in the north central province of Thanh Hoa.

The exhibits are in Nom (Vietnamese ideographic script), Vietnamese and French languages issued by Vietnamese feudal states, the French Government in Indochina (on behalf of the then Vietnamese state), and western countries from the 17th to 20th century.

They affirm Vietnam’s establishment, exercise and protection of its sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes.

On display at the exhibition also nearly 100 maps and sets of atlas proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over the two archipelagos.

The exhibition is open to the public from March 23-25.
