Thai Hajj pilgrims under moral project arrive in Makkah

Thai Hajj pilgrims under the Southern Border Province Administrative Center (SBPAC) and Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC)’s project for promoting moral people have safely arrived in Makkah.

Mr. Naree Kongbunneuk, Director of Hajj Affairs Division, SBPAC, disclosed that the selected 200 Thai Hajj pilgrims from five southern border provinces had already arrived in Makkah and performed the first Umrah.

Mrs. Xiya Uma, a chosen Hajj pilgrim from Narathiwat, said she had never thought that she would have been able to visit this sacred place and that it is an invaluable experience.

Mrs. Waeraukiyoh Jehming, a Hajj pilgrim from Pattani, said it is all Muslims’ dream to visit this holy place and she had never thought that, as a poor woman, she would have been provided with the best opportunity in her life.

While in Makkah, the Thai Hajj pilgrims under the project for promoting moral people will perform prayers five times a day at Al-Haram Mosque, the most important mosque of Islam, perform Umrah ceremony and also visit all historical sites.
