Terry Fox Run 2013 scheduled for November 24
(VOV) - The 17th Terry Fox Run 2013 will take place in Phu My Hung area on November 24, according to the Consulate General of Canada in HCM City on November 18.
The event is co-organised by the Consulate General of Canada, the Canadian International School and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.
According to the organizing board, Terry Fox 2013 is a family event involving everyone in non-competitive activities including jogging, running and cycling. After jogging, people can join a banquet with music bands playing in an opening setting.
Last year, the 16th Terry Fox Run 2012 attracted more than 14,600 people and raised VND1.7 billion.
Terry Fox Run is not only a Canadian tradition. More than US$600 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research named Terry Fox so far.
