Summer Camp for Vietnamese youth and students in Europe debuts

VOV.VN - The ninth opening ceremony of the Summer Camp for Vietnamese youth and students in Europe took place on August 24 at the Vietnam Cultural Center in France.

The annual event, organised by the Vietnamese Youth Students in Europe, aims to connect young Vietnamese people abroad, strengthen cultural ties, whilst boosting sporting and scientific exchanges among young people.

Upon addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang emphasized that the Vietnamese community, including students and young people, have always been a positive factor in contributing to the overall development of close relationships between the nation and regional countries.

The Ambassador went on to praise the dynamism of youth, as well as outlining their solidarity and enthusiastic activities towards the homeland.

Sharing this perspective, Nguyen Ngoc Luong, chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union, acknowledged the contributions made by young Vietnamese people in Europe, affirming that young Vietnamese people living and working abroad are always an integral part of the Vietnam Youth Union.

He expressed his hope that young Vietnamese people abroad will continue to heighten their solidarity and cultivate friendly ties between the nation and other countries whilst making significant contributions to the country’s overall socio-economic development.
