Street culture month highlights Lam Dong’s tourism

A “Street culture month” programme, themed “Lam Dong - convergence of essence, connection of emotions,” kicked off in Phan Thiet ward on September 6 as a highlight of the “Tourist Destination Experience Month 2025,” organised by the Lam Dong provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

On the opening night, the provincial Theatre and the Exhibition on culture and arts, welcomed hundreds of locals and visitors. The biggest draw was the food stalls, showcasing delicacies from Vietnam’s three regions such as Ha Long squid cakes, palm sugar sponge cakes, My Tho noodle soup, and fresh Phan Thiet seafood, along with Lao and Thai cuisine.

The space also recreated traditional village crafts such as farming, pottery, and toy figurine making, alongside displays and stalls of consumer goods and handicrafts.

The festival featured lively street performances, from energetic dances and modern pop music to lion drum shows, offering audiences a rich musical experience. Spectators were not only watching but also invited to join in the festive activities.

According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the programme will run through October 5, featuring the highlight “Lam Dong culinary space” on weekends at Mui Ne and Phan Thiet wards, NovaWorld Phan Thiet in Tien Thanh ward, and Bau Trang tourist area in Hoa Thang commune.

The event offers a chance for locals and visitors to explore the culinary treasures of Lam Dong and other regions across Vietnam.

The programme also features street art and music performances, including folk songs, don ca tai tu (southern amateur singing), traditional dances, and folk games, promising a lively, welcoming atmosphere that fosters community connection.

This event helps Lam Dong position it as a dynamic and creative destination, contributing to developing unique tourism products, stimulating demand, preserving cultural traditions, and promoting the province’s image to both domestic and international visitors.
