State president sends happy Mid-Autumn Festival wishes to children

VOV.VN - State President Vo Van Thuong has sent a letter extending his best wishes to Vietnamese children living inside and outside the country as well as foreign children living in Vietnam on the occasion of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival 2023.

Every Mid-Autumn Festival, children get to play together, gather around the moon feast with their parents and grandparents, deeply feel the value of friendship, and nurture the innocent and pure emotions of childhood, he wrote.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is also a festival of love and sharing, an opportunity for adults to remind themselves to pay more attention to children with love, responsibility and practical actions, he added.

He called for more efforts to be made to support children in difficult circumstances, orphans, and those living in remote and border areas and on islands so that all children can fully and completely celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, having fun with their family and community.

The president said he was moved and proud to see that children have in recent times made a lot of progress, done many good deeds, shown gratitude to their parents and grandparents, and known how to help and share with fortunate peers. Many children have studied hard, recording high achievements and becoming the pride of their family and fatherland.

He encouraged children to build on their excellent achievements and wished them a happy Mid-Autumn Festival 2023.

The Mid-Autumn Festival or Full-moon Festival is a festive occasion for children. It is held annually on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month every year. This year, the festival falls on September 29.
