A total of 2,000 households, mainly located in the districts of Thuan Chau, Bac Yen, and Song Ma, culled their pigs as a result of the disease.

Following stringent efforts, a total of 36 communes have been declared free from the ASF epidemic.

Furthermore, 35 communes have had no new outbreaks recorded for at least 30 days. Despite these positives, new outbreaks have re-emerged  in four of these communes following a period of no new cases.

In order to deal with the complicated nature of the developments regarding the epidemic, the locality has allocated additional funding in order to implement ASF control measures.
