Smoke covers western Hanoi

Travellers on Hanoi’s Thang Long Avenue, Vietnam’s longest and most modern road, cannot see the road because of smoke, particularly in the afternoon.
Smoke has appeared in western Hanoi in recent days as the consequence of burning straw in the city’s suburban districts of Quoc Oai and Thach That as well as in neighboring provinces.
