Six Vietnamese universities appear in global top 2,000 in latest world rankings
VOV.VN - Six Vietnamese universities have been listed among the world’s top 2,000 in the 2025 edition of the World University Rankings published by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).

All six institutions have appeared in previous editions, with five showing improved rankings this year. Duy Tan University made the biggest leap, rising 61 places to 969th, becoming the only Vietnamese university to break into the global top 1,000.
Ton Duc Thang University holds the second highest national rank, placed 1,055th worldwide, 14 spots higher than in 2024. The Vietnam National University in Hanoi climbed 72 places to 1,216th globally.
Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City ranks fourth nationally and 1,275th worldwide. Hanoi University of Science and Technology rose eight places to 1,917th, while Hanoi Medical University dropped 22 places to 1,879th.
The CWUR’s global ranking evaluates 2,000 universities out of 21,400 institutions worldwide, based on criteria including education quality, alumni employment, faculty credentials, and research performance.
