Six Vietnamese businesses eligible for sending workers to Australia
VOV.VN - Six Vietnamese firms have been officially selected to send labourers to work in Australia in the agricultural sector under the Vietnam Labour Mobility Arrangement (VLMA).
This information was recently unveiled by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs. Accordingly, the Australian Embassy in Vietnam announced that in January, the two sides will organise a number of activities specifically aimed at supporting Vietnamese citizens working in the agricultural sector in Australia.
The Australian Government permitted up to 1,000 Vietnamese workers to be employed in its agricultural sector at any given time, as part of the Vietnam Labour Mobility Arrangement (VLMA) between the two countries.
In September, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Australian Embassy announced the implementation of several support measures for Vietnamese citizens under this programme.
In the first year of the scheme, up to six enterprises specialising in sending local workers overseas will be selected. Recruitment fees will therefore be paid by Australian employers to the relevant Vietnamese service providers.
