Sa Na village in Thanh Hoa hit by devastating flash floods
VOV.VN - A 10-minute series of flash floods swept through Sa Na village in Na Meo commune of Quan Son district in the central Thanh Hoa province on August 3, destroying over 30 homes in the process and leaving a number of local people missing.
Due to the flooding on August 3, Sa Na village is left isolated. The flooding is caused by the effects of Typhoon Wipha, the third storm to hit the country this year. |
The village is located approximately 200km away from the centre of Thanh Hoa City. |
A total of 12 residents have been reported missing in Sa Na village, with five of them being from the same family. |
With the village so isolated, rescue teams spend over three hours attempting to access Sa Na. |
The strength of the floods also causes dozens of homes belonging to local residents to be swept away. |
