RoK helps cleft palate patients in Binh Duong

(VOV) - Doctors from the Republic of Korea (RoK) have provided free surgeries to cleft palate patients between 3 months and 35 years old in the southern province of Binh Duong.

The RoK delegation also donated two pieces of medical equipment to the Dental Department of Binh Duong Provincial Hospital, upgrading the services available for local patients.

Professor Jin Young Choi, head of the RoK delegation, said Korean doctors have travelled to Vietnam 17 times. 384 patients have received humanitarian medical procedures, including 206 with cleft palates. The medical equipment the delegations have donated to several provincial departments are valued at more than VND3 billion.

The delegation plans on visiting Binh Duong, lending a helping hand to the province’s patients in need.
