Rockslide kills three in northern Vietnam
The bodies of three people killed in a rockslide earlier on January 30 in northern Vietnam have been recovered after rescuers removed tons of rocks and soils that buried them, local authorities said.
The victims were identified as Nguyen Van Dinh, 66, Nguyen Van Nguyen, 33, and Pham Van Don, 20, who were all employees of Japanese pearl cultivation company Taiheiyo Shinju in Quang Ninh Province.

They were reportedly staying in the company's camp under the Cong Do mountain in Quang Ninh when hundreds of cubic meters of rocks fell from the mountain top, which is about 120 meters high, at around 12.10 a.m.
Dang Huy Hau, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, said the rockslide may have been caused by heavy rains in the area over the past week.
He said local authorities have been warned of risks of similar landslide and rockslide in the days to come.
