Robot likely to act as emcee of ABU Robocon 2018 final
VOV.VN - Robot or a virtual character might play the role of an emcee of the final round of the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) 2018 scheduled for August 26 in the northern province of Ninh Binh.

This is the third time Vietnam has hosted the contest. Currently, all preparations for the event have been completed. Accordingly, the venues for the organizing board, participating teams and press have been thoroughly arranged. Each team has a separate technical booth for assembling and repairing robots.
Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television (VTV) Dinh Dac Vinh, who is also the head of the organizing board said the robotic contest offers a creative environment for students, who have passion for technologies. He expressed hope that together with the organizing board of ABU, the event will reap success and leave a good impression on international guests.
Apart from thorough preparations of venues and hotel accommodations, Ninh Binh province People’s Committee will ensure security, food safety and hygiene and other logistics requirements for the event.
Apart from taking part in exchange activities, members of participating teams will visit Trang An Landscape Complex - the World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
This year, the concept of the contest is inspired by the Vietnamese folk game shuttlecock throwing.
